Chris Johnson says the key to developing resilience is planning ahead. With recent power outages and wildfires across the Bay Area in mind, Johnson says, "We're seeing that the old model of electrical grids is broken. Honolulu-based Blue Planet Energy is gearing up to bring the best of Hawaii to VERGE 19 and will showcase the Blue Ion LX-HV in action to attendees at the microgrid installation. The on-site microgrid integrates clean energy charging from sources that include a 72 kWac solar array owned by NBA champions Golden State Warriors. The Blue Ion LX-HV will store and convert energy generated by the microgrid to power the event’s electrical loads, including free electric vehicle charging.
